The staff at the Northeast Nebraska Area Agency on Aging, through information and assistance, will answer your basic questions about where to find services and may make a referral to the appropriate program. The services are individualized based on the strengths and needs of the older person.
The nurses through the Care Management Program are experts at finding the most appropriate care for an elder and can offer assistance for complicated situations. There is also a program called Senior Care Options which assists the older adult and their families who are considering nursing home placement. The Aged Medicaid Waiver Program is a service system that provides care options in the home or assisted living as an alternative to nursing home placement.
