Aged Medicaid Waiver Program

The Aged Medicaid Waiver program is a service system based on the belief that people age 65 and older with care needs should have choices about the services they receive. After a thorough needs identification evaluation, eligible persons are offered the choice of receiving In-Home, Assisted Living, or Nursing Facility services.

The Northeast Nebraska Area Agency on Aging accepts referrals from all sources. A visit is scheduled to meet with all eligible referrals. During the visit, the Services Coordinator and the client determine the needed services and support to keep the client at the highest level of independence possible.
