The Lifeline Grant program enables frail older adults to remain independent in their own homes.
Description of Service
The Lifeline Grant program provides funding directly to the lifeline providers for the monthly fee of the personal emergency response system (PERS).
Goal
To prevent premature institutionalization of an elderly individual by providing funding for Lifeline services in the home for those who cannot afford it.
Eligibility
Recipients must be 60 or older and reside in the 22 county service area of NENAAA. They must demonstrate functional and financial need as determined by a NENAAA case manager.
